DMD Honor Society Elections, Chapter Volunteer Effort Kick-off and Chapter Updates

Election Process Begins Nov. 1
The election process for 2014 officers for the Lambda Eta Chapter of Delta Mu Delta begins on November 1, with the self-nomination of officer candidates (November 2-28). Please consider running for an office and becoming an active part in the organization and university. Complete details can be found on our chapter website under the Officers tab. Please download the self-nomination form from the website and complete as indicated. Officer roles and responsibilities are also posted on the website. Elections will occur via survey sent through email to chapter members from November 30-December 7.

Lambda Eta Chapter Kicks Off Chapter Volunteer Effort
The Lambda Eta Chapter of Delta Mu Delta will undertake a global volunteer effort from November 1-December 1, 2013. Chapter members are encouraged to participate in this volunteer effort, which is open to chapter members from around the globe. Chapter members can complete any volunteer activity that they prefer and then participate by recording the minutes participated on the Lambda Eta Chapter DMD Volunteer Effort Sheet (the link is provided in your member email). The top three chapter members who report the greatest number of minutes volunteered will receive a Delta Mu Delta shirt. We hope you will participate with us in this initiative as we work together to give back. Photos are encouraged as well! Author Excellence Awards Recipients Named
The recipients of Northcentral University’s Lambda Eta Chapter of Delta Mu Delta’s inaugural Author Excellence Awards were announced this spring. Congratulations on each award recipient’s achievement and receipt of the $200 award! The written submissions show the level of quality and academic excellence that is representative of a Delta Mu Delta member. Six awards were presented during this inaugural Author Excellence Awards cycle. Award recipients are as follows: John Watson, Marla Rogers, Mary Lannon and Samantha Duhn each received a Student Author Excellence Award. Andrew Michael received a Publishing Author Excellence Award. Danny Hurd received a Presenting Author Excellence Award. Congratulations to all of our inaugural award recipients! This was an exciting first Author Excellence Awards process, and we look forward to next year’s application process and awards cycle.
