Mr. Mangold is a senior manager, researcher and information technology program manager on contract to the United States Army. He received his MBA and Bachelors of Science in Applied Computer Science from Troy State University, and is currently pursuing a DBA in Computer and Information Security at Northcentral University. In addition to his work with the US Government, Mr. Mangold is the owner of LVM Engineering, Inc. where he provides small-business consulting, computer security software and education services.

Mr. Mangold has published and presented his research in support of his professional and academic work at both domestic and international venues. He has earned several professional certifications including the Project Management Professional Certification (PMI-PMP) and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He currently maintains a professional affiliation with the Institute of Electrical, Electronic Engineers Computer Society (IEEE-CS), the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Mr. Mangold is interested in promoting scholarship in higher education and a sense of community within the Lambda Eta chapter of Delta Mu Delta. He would like to see DMD play a more influential role at NCU through connecting those whose values, experiences and expertise align with the values of the DMD.
