Milton Kabia, PhD, CISSP, HCISPP, GISP, ITIL
Dr. Milton Kabia has over 25 years of experience in information technology (IT) as an IT educator, Systems Engineer, Information Systems Security Officer, and Information Privacy consultant. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer and Information Security and Online Teaching Certificate from Northcentral University (NCU). In addition to his academic degrees, he holds more than 25 IT certifications and is a curricula developer for cybersecurity, Microsoft MCSE, Cisco courses, and software engineering.
Dr. Kabia is also a Lead Adjunct Faculty at NCU and a Dissertation Chair at Capella University. In addition to teaching, he is the Senior Information Systems Security Officer for Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and the Chief Executive Officer for Network Design Systems LLC., a company which offers penetration and vulnerability testing, network monitoring, and management company in Anchorage, Alaska.
His professional affiliations include Information System Audit & Control Association (ISACA), Institute of Electrical, Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Associate Computing Machinery (ACM), Informing Science Institute (ISI), International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Federal IT Security Institute (FITSI), Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS), Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Technology (AEHIT), and Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Applications (AEHIA). He also reviews articles for publication for the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness and Journal of Informing Science and IT Education.
Dr. Kabia is the author of Information Technology Certification: A Performance and Competency Approach. ISBN-13:978-3-659-75793-8 ISBN-10: 3659757934 EAN: 9783659757938. Another textbook that will be soon be published by Dr. Kabia is called “Security Policies for Healthcare Organizations”.
Dr. Kabia is a well-known security consultant and has conducted security vulnerability assessment and penetration testing for organizations in the United States, Europe, and Africa.
